The best thing about this movie was how they’d use a wipe between scenes to try to trick you into thinking you were watching Star Wars.

Too bad they didn’t also copy the good directing, cinematography, practical effects and well written, not-stupid characters and good acting. If they had, maybe we’d all be like, “Man, I wish the prequels were as good as Battlefield Earth was.”

It was pretty great watching Forest Whitaker give the least shit-giving performance in film history.

Battlefield Earth is one of the best bad movies ever. I have to watch it anytime it’s on! It’s so fucking terrible!!!

I watched it in the theater and I enjoyed it. Not as they intended, obviously, but you will never see another movie so delightfully over-acted and with such ludicrous dialogue. Yet I walked out of the movie Hairspray (the musical version, not the awesome original).
